About Wright Travel Agency

Wright Travel Agency started with a wedding — the owner’s own, at Dreams Los Cabos in 2006. When Tammy Wright planned hers, she couldn’t find a place where couples who’d actually done it shared the real details. So she built both the answers and the place to find them.

Dreams Los Cabos, and the thread that started everything

Tammy launched BestDestinationWedding.com on January 14, 2006, while planning her own destination wedding — she would marry at Dreams Los Cabos on May 27, 2006. That September she posted what would become one of the forum’s foundational threads — Dreams Los Cabos Info & Pics — with photos of the property, the reception terrace, and the wedding coordinator’s details. Couples started writing in. They’d seen her pictures. They wanted to know how to make it happen for themselves. The agency grew out of answering them.

For most of two decades BDW was the largest destination-wedding community on the internet, with tens of thousands of brides comparing resorts and sharing what worked. Today the forum is preserved as a public archive — every old thread still readable — and the active community has moved to private Facebook groups, where Tammy and our agents stay close to current brides. The thousands of weddings we’ve booked since 2006 grew out of that community.

The team

Wright Travel Agency is owner-operated. Tammy Wright is the founder and lead destination-wedding specialist, backed by a team of seasoned advisors who’ve planned thousands of weddings and getaways across the Caribbean, Mexico, and beyond.

  • Honeymoons & tropical vacations. Romantic getaways across the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe.
  • Cruises & Disney. From Caribbean to Mediterranean sailings, plus the full Disney universe — parks, resorts, and cruise line.
  • Eco & adventure travel. Conservation-led journeys to Costa Rica, the Galapagos, Peru, and beyond.
  • Group travel. Reunions, friend groups, and multi-family trips, with everyone booked together.

Travel agents are paid by the resorts and cruise lines, not by you, so our service costs you nothing — you pay the same price or less than booking it yourself. What you get in return is insider access: room upgrades, resort credits, free breakfasts, advisor-only rates, and a real person who picks up the phone when something goes sideways at 11 PM the night before a flight.

Do you plan destination weddings?

Yes. We are destination wedding specialists and the official travel agency for BestDestinationWedding.com, and we have helped thousands of couples and their guests plan weddings at resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean.

What destinations do you book?

We specialize in all-inclusive resorts in destinations including Riviera Maya, Cancun, Punta Cana, Los Cabos, Jamaica, Riviera Nayarit, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic, plus honeymoons and Disney cruises.

How does booking work?

Share your destination, rough dates, and guest count, and one of our agents will follow up with options. We design the itinerary, find strong rates and perks, and handle the reservations.

Can you handle large wedding groups?

Yes. We regularly coordinate room blocks and travel for wedding groups of every size, keeping each guest booking organized from deposit through arrival.

Who are the Reservations and Payments links for?

Both are for clients we are already working with. The Reservations form starts a new booking once an agent has helped you choose your trip; the Payments link is for paying toward an existing reservation. If you are just starting to look, please use the contact form on the homepage instead. There is no payment needed up front, and an agent will follow up before any booking happens.
