Interior cabins are the cheapest with no window. Oceanview gets you a window. Balcony adds outdoor space. Suites add square footage and onboard perks. For port-heavy itineraries an oceanview is fine; for sea-day-heavy itineraries a balcony is worth it.
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Missing a ship's departure because of a delayed flight is a real problem; we book flights with enough buffer and through programs the cruise lines back up if something goes wrong.
Worth it for Alaska, transatlantic, and any cruise with multiple sea days. Less essential for Caribbean cruises where you are off the ship most days. We will give you a straight answer based on your specific itinerary.
